Warm, friendly personalized service.  Attention to detail.  Genuine concern for customer satisfaction.  Ah yes, and fun too!  These are not only alive and well, but thriving at Judy Basha Designs here in Vancouver B.C.   Forgive me for starting this  like an ad, but I can't help myself.  This is one cool place to go.  Although I have bought many items of clothing from there , I hadn't been for about a year.  Taking Shannon along last week merely underscored why I rate Judy Basha as my number one shopping experience in town.  One look in my closet clearly showcases where my best and favorite outfits come from.

We cabbed over a little after 1:00 p.m. on a Tuesday.  Shannon was wearing her favorite honey-blonde wig, a see-through, cream-coloured top, black leather mini, and knee-high black leather boots.  I foolishly opted for my long, blonde wig, short is the way to go when trying on outfits, which turned into a tangled mess after a few hours.  I also wore my flared, black, hip-hugger pants, white top, and black stilettos.  We were greeted warmly by Judy and her partner, Rob, and immediately offered spring water at whatever temperature we desired.  Besides creating innovative and exciting fashion, Judy also likes going out to fetish parties, sporting some of her creations.  Her goth, vampire look is killer, including spooky pale green contacts, superb makeup, and some very convincing fangs.

To peruse and try on her exciting outfits, you have to book an appointment (check out her website with phone number in my links section).  This will allow you to have the total princess experience in a relaxed, unhurried manner.  Oh yes, she also offers designs for men too.  The predominant fabric is PVC, although leather and other fabrics are also available.  The styles are provocative, mostly for fetish, club, glamour, or intimate encounters.  She can also order the same sexy shoes and boots the expensive retail stores carry.  If you are willing to wait a couple of weeks for your footwear, you can definitely save money.

Judy's handsome partner, Rob, helped Shannon in choosing and donning outfits, while Judy assisted moi.  Not surprisingly, Shannon gravitated immediately towards the boots and was soon swaggering about in a pair of black PVC thigh boots, complete with a six-inch platform heel and festooned in all manner of laces, buckles, and straps. I began looking at corsets, as well as a wonderful full length PVC black skirt. It had slits up both legs that ran all the way up to my hipbones, and I was cautioned by all in attendance that I wouldn't be able to wear anything under there more substantial than a G-string. Darn!!!

Moments later, Shannon sauntered back into the room, looking pretty hardcore in black and green PVC bustier (with a snakeskin pattern), black PVC mini and gauntlets, and the thighboots. I was almost dressed in my corset and PVC slitskirt ensemble, so it was time for some pictures. Shannon and I have become accustomed to bringing her digital camera with us shopping. We find it is extremely helpful in making choices, as you can simple scroll back through the shots to see which outfit and look worked best. This is not something Judy typically allows, and she asked us not to post shots of her latest creations. After seeing the beautiful photographs, however, she did ask us if we would be interested in modeling for her promotional posters. Well, of course we agreed.

Overall, we spent about three hours at the shop, trying on all sorts of amazing fetwear. Shannon was very fond of a D-ring waist-cinching corset, and asked Rob to tighten it psychotically tight.  She also tried on some funky, white tasseled gloves and skirt, making some comment about putting together a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader outfit.  I tried on a couple of corsets, several skirts, dresses, and boots.  Some of these items including a short, shoulder strap, emerald dress, pink jacket, and knee-high Domme boots were generously marked down in price.

I mulled over whether to get some of these or what I had originally planned: black PVC mini, corset, leather gauntlets, red shoes, etc.  I then remembered going through my wardrobe recently, discovering that most of it was dark in colour.  In the end, I would decide, after much contemplation, to go with a lot of pinks and whites, which could be mixed and matched with each other, and with some of my existing numbers.  I can hardly wait to pick these up, so I can start wearing them out, and have some new pictures taken.  Stay tuned for updates to my galleries....

Shannon and I left the store feeling giddy, like a couple of schoolgirls out looking for prom dresses.  We would both remain high well into the night from our amazing shopping experience.  We only had time for a quickie before she had to return home and I had to rush off to work, but the encounter was intense and electrifying!  What a great day!!!
